Four 25 minutes online sessions per week is optimal, but there is some flexibility to help make this intensive work fit your family’s schedule. High frequency of sessions is a big part of student success! Learn more about why.
I’m happy to discuss scheduling options and in-person possibilities if you live in Southwest Michigan. Let me customize the membership for you!

Magnetic letters, dry erase boards and markers, playdough and shaping tools, flashcards, etc.
Materials are selected based on family preference, student age and interest, and relevance to the current work.
2
Finding just the right book at just the right level is a big challenge!
Remarkable Readers provides a recommendation list based on your child’s interests and reading level.

3
Once per week, on your own time. These 5-10 minute video lessons are emailed out weekly and we can go over the ideas presented during our progress update sessions to answer questions. Topics include things like:
-How to support your child when decoding a new word
-How to talk about concerns and partner with your child’s teacher
-Reading for fun vs. Learning to read

Games, activities, and yes, sometimes worksheets. We work hard to emphasize the games and activities that interest students to provide a variety of ways to continue language and literacy enrichment beyond the daily sessions.
Activities are selected specifically for your child and range anywhere from online games to outdoor scavenger hunts to old-fashioned board games.
5
The old cliché: teamwork makes the dream work! Weekly check-ins are a critical part of supporting your child’s learning, so let’s plan a mini conference each week.
Online meetings make it easy to schedule.
6
Monthly book club for students who choose to join. The kids vote on which books to read/listen to, do group activities around the theme of the books, and spend a little time learning about dyslexia and supporting one another. Meets on Zoom currently.
Program graduates are given lifetime memberships - come back and join us any time!

Geography and mobility are no longer barriers for families. Teletherapy options have exploded in recent years and we now have the ability to provide high-quality, high-frequency sessions without the drive time.
